The Rong Qiao Sedbergh School is a premium bilingual school, jointly established by Rong Qiao Group and Sedbergh School, a highly respected British private school with a history of nearly 500 years. By drawing on the advanced educational philosophy and teaching method of Sedbergh School, and the long–established British college boarding system, the Rong Qiao Sedbergh School offers 15–year education from kindergarten to high school, with a commitment to cultivate well–rounded students with a global vision and a strong sense of national pride.
The school has been accredited by the Department of International Assessment of the University of Cambridge, and it is an English–style boarding school offering an internationalized education. By building on the strengths of Chinese and Western education, the school offers small class teaching and an immersive bilingual environment. Based on the national compulsory education curriculum, it offers the bilingual teaching of both Chinese and English in art, sports, STEAM courses with designed challenging academic courses.
In addition to academics, the school also values the holistic development of students, focusing on the cultivation of their talents in music, art, sports and other aspects. Therefore, the school offers a variety of ECA community activities, including golf, rugby, drama, STEAM courses, Lego, pottery, dance, and Wing Chun kung fu.
Rong Qiao Sedbergh School has also launched a school-based moral education curriculum. While following the requirements of national moral education curriculum for primary and secondary schools, the school integrates moral education activities into classroom teaching, school life, ECA community activities, research and study fieldwork, and exploration practice–helping students to develop a good moral character, behavior habits and a well–rounded personality.
